This summer join your fellow performing artists and the professional CCTA artistic staff in person as we tackle The Prom! This audition based program features some of the best and brightest as we work together to produce a full fledged musical.
Four eccentric Broadway stars are in desperate need of a new stage. So when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town prom, they know that it’s time to put a spotlight on the issue…and themselves. The town’s parents want to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow—but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. On a mission to transform lives, Broadway’s brassiest join forces with a courageous girl and the town’s citizens and the result is love that brings them all together. Winner of the Drama Desk Award for Best Musical, THE PROM expertly captures all the humor and heart of a classic musical comedy with a message that resonates with audiences now more than ever.

CCTA has prioritized the safety of our students and staff. We are closely monitoring all Covid protocols and guidelines. Camp is subject to change in order to meet any new regulations.

Students are expected to prepare 16 bars of a ballad and 16 bars of an uptempo piece. Please bring the appropriate cuts of sheet music with you for our pianist. There will be a dance combination so dress accordingly. If available, please bring a headshot and resume; otherwise, we will have an audition form to fill out on site.
Those who cannot attend the in person auditions can submit an audition video to auditions@cctarts.org. The video should include a slate with your age and name, followed by your two audition cuts. Please avoid singing acapella but ensure that the audio is balanced enough that we can hear you.
